Company History

Martin and Ernst Höhn founded the Martin Höhn GmbH (Martin Hoehn Ltd.) in 1973. Right from the beginning parts of high precision for different applications were produced. Since then the company’s strength was settled with the mill cutting and drilling of high-grade steel such as 1.4571, 1.4301 or Titanium and Hastalloy on NC and CNC machinery. In addition, 1976 the FLURO Gelenklager GmbH (FLURO Rod Ends/Spherical Plain Bearings Ltd.) was founded. The production and sale of Rod Ends and Spherical Plain Bearings is its speciality.

The production plant was enlarged several times but experienced in 2000 its biggest enlargement to provide more space for additional manufacturing equipment and modern machinery. This was established in connection with the instalment of a full automated raw material storage section, enabling instant raw material access. This marked also the beginning to hand over the executive management into the hands of the second generation.

In 2006 FLURO celebrated its 30 years of operation and opened a fully automated warehouse for semi-finished and finished products, increasing the ex stock availability of FLURO parts.

In 2010 the administrational office was enlarged and furnished to enable the sales department to work more efficient and professional.
